Scheide Hall, Princeton Theological Seminary
Scheide Hall is a new 8,000 sf building that stands at the center of the Princeton Theological Seminary campus. Designed as an annex to the historic Miller Chapel, the building supports administrative offices, practice rooms, choir rehearsal space, and a music library. The envelope was designed to both complement the historic stone buildings on the central campus and differentiate the building as a new component working in support of Miller Chapel.
Offices and support spaces are accommodated on the ground floor of the building; a rehearsal room occupies most of the upper level. The front elevation of the building is dominated by a projecting bay window that overlooks the adjacent Miller Chapel portico and an outdoor court for assembly and post-chapel activities.
Michael Schnoering, AIA, served as Project Manager for Ford Farewell Mills & Gatsch Architects, LLC for the work at Scheide Hall.
