National Park Service IDIQ
Mills + Schnoering Architects' Indefinite Delivery / Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with the National Park Service covers the Northeast and National Capital Regions, with secondary coverage nationwide. The firm leads a multidisciplinary consultant team that is able to service task order assignments anywhere in the country.
The general mission of projects assigned within this IDIQ is based on the following goals: protect Park resources, including both cultural and natural resources; provide educational and interpretive opportunities; protect employee and public health, safety, and welfare; improve operational efficiency and sustainability; utilize sustainable and cost-effective design strategies; and provide other advantages to the Parks.
Current task orders include life and safety improvements at the Statue of Liberty National Monument; architectural and landscape design services at Meridian Hill Park (part of Rock Creek Park) in Washington, DC; rehabilitation and stabilization of stone walls and towpath at Big Slackwater, part of the C&O Canal National Historical Park; a property line survey of the Park Boundaries at Valley Forge National Historical Park; fire protection evaluation at the Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park; and conservation and restoration of the marble walls and columns of the Merchant's Exchange, Independence National Historical Park, Philadelphia, PA.
